CEA is a public research organisation whose mission is to develop know-how and assure the technological transfer in a large variety of civil and defence industrial applications (nuclear and renewable energies, biotechnology, environmental protection, microelectronics, nanotechnology, and others).
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, CEA has the role of Project Coordinator. Additional technical contributions will concern system architecture, core and LCA ontologies, digital twin connectors and distributed ledger technologies.
Tallinn University Of Technology
Creators of digital innovations, Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) is leading Estonia and the world towards a sustainable digital future.
Role in the project
Leading semantic interoperability development within and across domains by offering core DPP information models (such as ontologies) and facilitate the creation and alignment of domain specific ontologies (T4.2). Active participation in mastering architecture of the DPP system (T4.1).
Mindworks Industries
Mindworks is an innovative web technology and software boutique with 25 years of experience that develops applications for commercial and public sector projects.
Role in the project
Managing and developing Smartphone DPP Reader App for Consumers Pilot (T3.4).
DIGITALEUROPE
DIGITALEUROPE is the leading trade association representing digitally transforming industries in Europe, with a membership representing over 45,000 businesses. As leaders of digital industries, they shape the industry policy positions on all relevant legislative matters and contribute to the development and implementation of relevant EU policies.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, DIGITALEUROPE leads WP2 on Stakeholder Engagement, overseeing the governance of Experts’ Working Groups (EWGs) and the Community of Practice (CoP), and managing stakeholder outreach and engagement.
E Circular Aps
e-Circular ApS, a Danish circular economy consulting and technology company, helps global clients build sustainable practices and supply chains using digital tools like the Digital Product Passport (DPP). Their experienced team in Europe, North America, and Asia has been involved with EU and international projects on DPP, Digital Twins, and AI, and also regularly publishes on digital technology and circular economy topics.
Role in the project
Leader of WP6 (Sustainable impact generation), leader of task T6.6 (Recommendations on future deployment), part of T5.3, T6.2 and T6.4 providing expertise on circular business models, DPP impacts, and IT governance.
F6S
F6S is a global founder and startup network that helps public sector entities promote and disseminate technical and research projects. Our mission is to help founders and startups address social, economic, environmental, and innovation challenges. In addition to working with governmental entities, we also work with corporates, investors, research institutions, and universities, delivering company growth through grants, partnerships, funding, investments, pilot contracts, jobs & talent recruitment, and company services.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, F6S leads the creation and execution of the project’s communication strategy, including creating and maintaining the website and feeding the communication channels to create awareness and disseminate the project’s results. F6S also supports harmonising communication materials with the DPP Stakeholder Exchange Forum and coordinates participation in events, conferences, and workshops.
DIN
DIN is the national standardisation organisation of Germany. DIN develops standards and norms for a wide range of products, services, and processes in Germany. Additionally, DIN collaborates closely with international standardisation organisations such as ISO and CEN to develop Global and European standards.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, DIN is involved mainly in the WP2. Together with the DKE, the role is to establish a collaboration with the CEN JTC 24 DPP.
VDE
DKE, the “German Commission for Electrotechnical, Electronic & Information Technologies” is the German organisation responsible for the development and adoption of standards and safety specifications in the areas of electrical engineering, electronics and information technologies. Furthermore, DKE is involved in other European and International standardisation bodies such as IEC and CENELEC.
Role in the project
Global TEXTILE SCHEME
The Global Textile Scheme Initiative is a group of 30 companies from the textile and fashion industries, including ICT providers, associations, suppliers, brands, and retailers. Their latest GTS standard is a unique classification system which enables automatic exchange of critical product data from fiber to recycling, eliminating manual processes, increasing efficiency, and generating essential data for LCA, CSR, Certificates, Circular Economy, and Digital Product Passports.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, GTS leads the Textile Expert Group, providing insights on data semantics for cross-sector ontologies and standardisation. This expertise is crucial for automatic data exchange, one of key prerequisites for DPP and CIRPASS 2 pilots.
maki Consulting
Based on the combined 50 years of experience in research, work of its two core branches in the European Commission, and consulting,maki Consulting GmbH supports many industries, governmental bodies and other consultants with strategic and policy advice, method development and review, data development, and as a reviewer in the wider field and the European Commission’s Environmental Footprint (EF) initiative.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, maki leads the development of the common/upper LCA ontologies as well as the sector/product-group-specific ones for textile, electric/electronic, and construction products, and is accompanying the related LCA ontology work for tires. They also coordinate the Expert Working Group EWG5 for all other industries. contribute to broader ontology work, DPP container, and DPP system conception.
ECOWISE
Ekodenge, founded in 1996 and based in Ankara, provides digital software solutions for sustainability. Its sister company, EcoWise, was established in 2016 in London. The company specialises in circular economy and construction sector innovations, offering both consultancy and software services. development with a strong base in European project collaborations across FP7, H2020 and Horizon Europe.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2 we have two roles that includes the setup and evolution of the digital ecosystem for the Stakeholder Exchange Forum in T2.2 and the implementation of the DPP pilot with Gorenje-Hisense in T3.3.11.
Established in 1984 by Chalmers University of Technology, the Chalmers Industriteknik Foundation focuses on strengthening Swedish innovation and utilising research for a sustainable society. In collaboration with researchers, academia, and industry, it develops new technical solutions, eco-friendly materials, and circular business models that benefit society.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS 2, the Chalmers Industriteknik Foundation is leading T5.3 “DPP-as-a-service: Ecosystem, governance and opportunities”. This task aims at supporting the development of a diverse and dynamic DPP-as-a-Service (DPPaaS) competitive environment.
Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research
TNO is an independent research organisation and the driver of innovation in the Netherlands. With over 4,000 highly trained specialists, we work on innovative applications with demonstrable impact for a safe, healthy, sustainable, and digitally connected world. TNO’s innovations contribute to the prosperity and well-being of society: Innovation for Life.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, TNO leads the task of collecting, updating, and clarifying DPP architecture requirements, updating user stories, and delivering the reference architecture. We also contribute to developing the core ontology for Digital Product Passports and advanced DPP digital toolset, supporting sectoral ontology mapping.

ASOCIACION DE EMPRESAS TECNOLOGICAS INNOVALIA
Innovalia Association, a private tech center by Innovalia Group, was created to achieve long-term research ambitions and strategic objectives. It offers technology-based products in smart city/tourism and Industry 4.0, consulting services in strategic digital transformation, Digital Innovation Hubs, and the development of innovation policies.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, Innovalia focuses on defining DDP architecture and leads Task 4.3 on “Data Space Interoperability & Contract Models,” exploring solutions to facilitate data exchange between sources, providers, and users.
CBT is part of Innovalia Group, of the division Innovalia Digital. CBT works in the field of technology consulting, designing and creating innovative products and offering tailored technological development services to provide solutions to the communication or management needs of companies or entities.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, CBT will work in WP4 focusing on data spaces technical research for DPP system.
Asociacion Para Desarrollo De La Economia Del Dato (BAIDATA)
BAIDATA is an association for the development of sovereignty and data economy in the Iberian Peninsula, with the aim of supporting companies in the adoption of data sharing spaces.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, BAIDATA will be providing SME ecosystem building support. It will work in WP4 for DPP system technical research, and in WP5 for SME ecosystem analysis.
GS1 in Europe
GS1 is a neutral, non-profit organisation dedicated to implementing global standards to enhance product efficiency, visibility, and sustainability worldwide. GS1 in Europe, the European collaboration platform of GS1, regroups 49 countries and their member companies, with the role to foster collaboration and establish common rules and standards.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, GS1 in Europe is Task leader of T3.2 on Textiles Upper-Level Ontologies.
AOC Innovation
AOC Innovation is a private consulting company located in France, with the mission to raise awareness, promote innovation and build a network that inspires and helps organisations, businesses and individuals to move towards a circular economy. It is the French arm of +ImpaKT.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, AOC is participating in:
- All tasks that aims to provide recommendations and guidance to facilitate the adoption of the DPP by SMEs.
- Task 6.3 that aims to quantify the environmental and circularity impact of implementing a DPP
+Impakt
+ImpaKT is a private consulting company based in Luxembourg, focused on promoting a circular economy. They are recognised as leading experts in Cradle-To-Cradle and Circular Economy within the EU and Luxembourg.
The company has contributed significantly to national strategies, such as the National Circular Economy Strategy and the National Zero Waste Strategy. Additionally, they are involved in EU collaborations for developing the Digital Product Passport and are leading the creation of the Product Circularity Data Sheet (PCDS) and the first DPP in the Defence sector (IOTA2 project).
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, +ImpaKT is leading the working group which aims to provide recommendations and guidance to facilitate the adoption of the DPP by SMEs.
Industrie 4.0 Osterreich
The initiative, founded in 2015 by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Action (BMK) in collaboration with employers’ and workers’ organisations, has become an established authority on Industry 4.0. Its activities focus on:
- Ensuring dynamic development of Austria’s production sector
- Accelerating research, innovation, and qualification
- Contributing to a high-quality working environment and high employment levels
The overarching goal is to leverage technological advancements and digital innovations for the benefit of companies and employees, while ensuring socially responsible change for society.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, Platform Industrie 4.0 Austria is leading three tasks:
- One that focuses on the challenges & opportunities of
using and updating issued DPPs, - One that develops SMEs-focused communication and training material, and
- One that deals with the exploitation of results for sustainable impact.

Fujitsu, founded in Japan in 1935, is a global leader in digital transformation, known for its technological innovation.
The company offers a wide range of trusted technology services, solutions, and products, co-creating solutions with customers to facilitate enterprise-wide digitalisation.
Leveraging extensive experience in advanced technologies and various industries, Fujitsu connects disparate processes using data. Additionally, Fujitsu collaborates with customers and ecosystem partners to address social issues and promote an inclusive, sustainable, and trusted society through its Uvance portfolio.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, Fujitsu will be responsible for leading the working group of the Lighthouse Pilots where it will be tasked with coordinating the implementation of 13 cross-sectoral and interoperable Digital Product Passport pilots. This will require tackling the key challenges relating to interoperability and circularity.
Fraunhofer IZM
The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft is the world’s leading applied research organisation, headquartered in Germany. It focuses on developing key future technologies and plays an independent role in the innovation process. Fraunhofer IZM has significantly contributed to eco-design regulations through preparatory studies on various electronics products (smartphones, tablets, TVs) and issues like standby power consumption. Their expertise includes:
- Environmental Assessment (including Life Cycle Assessment) of electronics
- Infrastructure Networks (such as Digital Product Passport)
- Teardown Analysis of Electronic Products
- Reliability Testing and Assessment of electronics
- Circular Economy Concepts and solutions for electronic devices.
Role in the project
Fraunhofer IZM will conduct the environmental assessment of the Digital Product Passport. This task is of major complexity, due to the scope, which requires balancing the necessary DPP resources (IT infrastructure) as well as the high-order benefits (improve recyclability through information provision).
EXTRA RED SRL
Extra Red Engineering Group is a Technology Service Provider that offers value-added services based on market-leading technologies such as Red Hat, IBM and InfluxData.
It works in different domains such as health, assurance, bank, and Public Administration. It was involved in research European project as DigiPrime based on a Platform to support the Circular Economy and as Lethe based on Digital Cognitive Biomarkers.
Role in the project
ExtraRed’s commitment in CIRPASS-2 is to support the implementation of a software development process for the DPP system architecture through the development of IDSA and DID document connectors that can be adopted by each driver’s IT team; we will be the reference for the IT support of partners and producers for the realisation of the DPP itself.
EURATEX
As the voice of the European textile and clothing industry, EURATEX works to achieve a favourable environment within the European Union for design, development, manufacture and marketing of textile and clothing products.
Role in the project
In CIRPASS-2, EURATEX is the leader of T6.4 Policy, market, business benefits & challenges, which aims to identify, validate and when possible, quantify the realised benefits and challenges of large scale DPP implementation for all stakeholders. This task wil work closely with the Lighthouse pilots and their ecosystems, EWGs, WP5 tasks (for the SMEs focus) and relevant stakeholders.
WORLDLINE FR
Worldline helps businesses of all shapes and sizes to accelerate their growth journey – quickly, simply, and securely. PTB
Role in the project
PTB manages the development of the D-SI metadata model for the digital international system of units and the DCC schema for digital calibration certificates. It also supports and advises on the Metrology refType Database, coordinated by the German Calibration Service (DKD). As Germany’s National Metrology Institute, PTB aids in maintaining the BIPM SI Reference Point, aligning with DPP system ontologies. Additionally, PTB contributes to the work of EWG2 “Standards”.
IOXIO OY
IOXIO is a data operator company providing cross-company and cross-sectoral data-sharing services to global customers. By using IOXIO’s data-sharing services, companies can easily share all the data from their suppliers to their customers, thus enabling more sustainable business processes, operational efficiency, and customer value with data. IOXIO’s data-sharing solutions allow companies to share product and operational data leveraging industry standards from their existing IT services in hours with the partners they wish, in a controlled manner.
IOXIO’s main customer segments include global logistics and trade, machine and battery, as well as textiles and apparel industries. IOXIO’s headquarters is in Helsinki, Finland.

STJM
Finnish Textile and Fashion is the central organisation for textile, clothing and fashion companies in Finland. They promote the Finnish textile and fashion industry and their member companies globally.
They have over 250 member companies in the textiles and apparel industry. Finnish Textile and Fashion represent the member companies’ interests as an industry influencer by taking part in relevant decision-making and discussions concerning the business environment and provide the member companies platforms for cooperation and advocacy.

Kezzler
Kezzler is a software company specialising in digital ID solutions for connected products. Since 2001, they have enabled product digitisation and sustainable value chains for various global industries, including food and beverage, fashion, industrial goods, OTC pharmaceuticals, and consumer packaged goods. Their Kezzler Connected Products Platform allows companies to digitise products, providing secure, real-time data to ensure traceability, regulatory compliance, supply chain visibility, circular solutions, and enhanced end-user experiences. Kezzler is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and serves customers in Europe, North America, and Asia.
Role in the project
Kezzler is leading the PA2 lighthouse pilot in Cirpass-2, aiming to demonstrate that both large and small economic operators can collaborate in the circular economy by sharing data using Digital Product Passports. Both SMEs and large players will pilot “R use cases” using the same Connected Product Management system, integrated with their existing IT architectures, to enable proven collaboration.
EON
EON, a leader in Digital ID technology for apparel, transforms how customers buy, sell, and interact with products. By creating Digital IDs, EON helps retail brands make their products more valuable, traceable, and interactive, driving revenue and insights.
Since 2017, EON has specialised in new revenue streams and business models for luxury and fashion brands, promoting sustainability and transparency. The EON Product Cloud platform enables end-to-end product tracing and deeper customer connections.
In 2023, EON launched the EON Exchange, a marketplace for industry interoperability, featuring Instant Resale. The EON Exchange won Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas award in 2024. Clients include Coach, Chloé, and Target.
Role in the project
In the CIRPASS-2 project, EON is leading the PA3 lighthouse pilot with a prominent global apparel brand. The pilot’s goal is to showcase how Digital Product Passports (DPPs) can facilitate scalable, interoperable circular systems and inform EU Commission legislation. Data will be standardised and shared at the item level using EON’s Product Cloud software.
The pilot will also explore commercial opportunities created by DPPs, focusing on reuse (R) cases. A downstream service provider will connect to the EON Product Cloud to access essential product and material data and contribute event data, such as resale and recycling activities, back into the DPP.
ARCELIK
As Europe’s largest white goods manufacturer, Arcelik serves as the central entity of a global network comprising 121 subsidiaries with 45 production facilities worldwide, employing 55,000 people. Its commitment to innovation is evidenced by over 2,300 researchers across 31 R&D and design centers globally, with more than 3,300 registered patents and over 3,500 patent applications across all operational segments. Beko is the official corporate brand of Arçelik.
Role in the project
Arçelik is one of the pilot provider in the CIRPASS-2 project and its pilot aims to create DPP for Arcelik brand cordless vacuum cleaners to effectively manage and track the repair and refurbishment processes with transparent records by information integration among different actors that are responsible for product repair. In this way, the reduction of electronic waste by preventing incorrect repair and a DPP-based business model for revised products is expected as a result of this pilot.
atma.io
atma.io is Avery Dennison’s Connected Product Cloud platform that unlocks the end-to-end value of every individual product, driving savings and sustainability through traceability. Powered by pioneering capabilities to track a product’s raw materials, the story of everyday items becomes a single source of truth, where a product’s origins and its entire journey can be chronicled and made available to brands, retailers, regulators, and consumers. Avery Dennison’s digital identification solutions powered by atma.io connected product cloud enable brands to prepare for the forthcoming legislations including DPP, and benefit from improving supply chain visibility, providing personalised consumer engagement, and creating a more accountable, traceable, and circular ecosystem.
Role in the project
The CIRPASS-2 PA4 pilot, led by atma.io in collaboration with circular.fashion, aims to create a comprehensive circular textile system using DPP data and circularity services. The pilot tracks garments designed under circular.fashion’s Circular Design Criteria as they go through various circular services like repair, resell, sorting, and recycling. This initiative involves multiple stakeholders across the value chain, facilitating collaboration and data exchange. Atma.io offers a digital platform for DPP data, while circular.fashion provides software for Circular Design Criteria verification and publishes credible claims on DPP public sites.
CIRCULAR FASHION
circular.fashion is an innovation company focused on promoting sustainable practices in the fashion and textile industry. They provide product and system innovations that help over 100 global retailers and brands adopt circular design and product circulation. Their platform connects material suppliers, brands, customers, sorters, and recyclers to foster a transparent and collaborative circular economy. Key software solutions include the Circular Design Software, Circular Design Criteria, and circularity.ID, which assist in circular product assessments and intelligent sorting. The company also offers consultancy, training, and workshops to help fashion brands incorporate circular economy principles into their core strategies.
Role in the project
SCANTRUST BV
Scantrust provides software solutions for QR codes and connected packaging to global brands. Scantrust solutions have been used with billions of products globally for use cases including digital labelling compliance, anti-counterfeiting, marketing, and supply chain traceability.
Role in the project
Scantrust is leading a pilot with VDFI, the Association of the German Down and Feather Industry, to develop a DPP solution for textile SMEs. The pilot seeks to demonstrate that DPPs created by SMEs are effective for improving product circlarity, and that these DPPs will confom to DPP standards. Finally, we will demonstrate that creating DPPs is feasible for SMEs in the context of their business operations.
TripleR
TripleR, headquartered in Gent, Belgium, is supporting the mattress industry to adopt circular economy practices through a Digital Product Passport (DPP) solution. This solution is accessible via QR/RFID data carriers and aims to standardise a common data model for mattresses. TripleR collaborates with mattress dismantlers to include information in the DPP that optimises dismantling processes and enhances recycling rates. Currently, a pilot test of the data model is being conducted with four Belgian mattress brands, one European brand, and three dismantlers. Additionally, TripleR is exploring similar initiatives in the furniture industry.
Role in the project
We are pilot project leader for Textiles-Mattresses. We invite 5 European mattress producers to work together on the definition of V2 of the mattress data model, experience this in practise by putting 500.000 identified mattresses in the market. We work together with a startup to explore new business models for mattresses in the hospitality sector and we will engage partner(s) willing to start operations for refurbishing of trial mattresses (used for less than 100 days)
Digital Data Chain Consortium
The Digital Data Chain Consortium (DDCC) is a collective of over 50 European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and major corporations, including factory owners/operators, equipment manufacturers, and industrial service providers. The DDCC’s primary goal is to streamline and automate the exchange of product information among these stakeholders through a simplified digital twin system. To this end, the consortium supports the development, international standardisation, and implementation of technologies such as IEC 61406 – ID Link for product identification, VDI 2770 for intelligent product documentation, and various Information Exchange Platforms (IEPs). These technologies collectively form the Digital Data Chain (DDC).
Role in the project
Together with the ZVEI the DDCC is conducting one of the three electronics product pilots within the CIRPASS-2 project. The two main aims of the pilot is to show how the DPP based on the DPP 4.0 concept, boosts r-strategies like repair and refurbishing of industrial equipments. The other aim is to provide a free toolset for SMEs to create a DPP based on the DPP 4.0 concept.
ZVEI
ZVEI is the german electro and digital industry association and represents a key industry that faces up to global challenges and offers technological solutions for pressing social issues. Products and solutions from our industry can be found in almost all areas of life. Our task is to anchor the benefits of innovative technology broadly in society and make the opportunities of electrification and digitalisation possible. Our competence is based on the expertise of around 170 employees in the ZVEI Group and more than 5,000 professionals from our 1,100 member companies.
Role in the project
Together with Digital Data Chain Consortium (DDCC), ZVEI is working on one of the CIRPASS-2 pilots in the area of electronic products. Core of the pilot is to show the applicability and interoperability of the DPP4.0 approach, which is based on the existing international standards IEC61406 (ID-Link) and IEC63278 (Asset Administration Shell).

At whatt.io, we redefine product management for manufacturers. Our platform seamlessly integrates RFID tags (NFC) and QR codes, enabling perpetual access to vital product data. Streamline traceability, recycling insights, spare parts management, ownership updates, and efficient communication. Our all-inclusive solution connects the entire lifecycle, from manufacturing to sales and end-users.
Role in the project
whatt.io will develop our information technology asset disposition on the pilot program for electronics. Focus on developing, and offering product identification via various types of ID technologies, and spare-parts ordering using Smartphones, relaying product info to our DPP cloud.
Association of Service and Computer Dealers International
ASCDI is an international, US based, non-profit organisation, representing businesses engaged in the sustainable reuse, repair, refurbishment, resale, and responsible disposal of technology equipment, promoting ethical practices and advocating for policies that advance responsible environmental and data protection practices.
Role in the project
Representing information technology asset disposition companies on the pilot program for electronics traceability across the end of life channel.
OBADA Foundation + Kron World S.L.
he OBADA Foundation, a nonprofit coalition in the IT asset disposition sector, has been operational for seven years. It spearheads the development of ISO TS 20435, a standard for comprehensive asset lifecycle tracking. This standard introduces a “Universal Serial Number” (USN) generated via a cryptographic algorithm from existing asset identifiers and standardises the representation of physical asset data in a verifiable format. TS 20435 facilitates data interoperability across different systems, aiding decentralisation efforts like the European Digital Product Passport (DPP).

The approach is to provide product information in a tumble dryer DPP starting from EPREL data on piloted tumble dryers as a test for full scale DPP generation and usage.
