Onthology Requirements Specification for an EU DPP Core Ontology Proposal – March 12, 2025
This document outlines the requirements for an EU DPP core ontology proposal. The document specifies the purpose of the ontology, its scope, and potential representation languages. It further details the identified ontology use cases, and functional and non-functional requirements. The functional requirements are articulated as competency questions. Key concepts, which may form the basis of ontology modules, are identified. The requirements and core terms of the EU DPP core ontology proposal are primarily derived from the ESPR and other regulatory documents. The requirements document also defines an initial set of core terms corresponding to these key concepts. In addition, the document addresses the requirements for evaluating and validating the proposed DPP core ontology. This specification serves as an input for the design of an EU DPP core ontology proposed by the CIRPASS-2 Consortium.
