You are warmly invited to join an open meeting dedicated to exploring the future of global collaboration on Digital Product Passports (DPPs). The discussion will bring together stakeholders to exchange ideas on building a global DPP community, advancing international interoperability, and sustaining collaboration beyond the CIRPASS-2 project.
The meeting will focus on three key areas:
A moment of great potential: The introduction of Digital Product Passports (DPPs) is a pivotal moment in history. It is a critical opportunity to drive transparency, sustainability and circularity at a global scale.
Doomsday scenarios for DPP: However, large-scale international cooperation is needed to avoid DPPs becoming only a regulatory obligation, having cross-border extraterritoriality effects, and creating barriers to international trade. Badly designed, DPPs could create new data silos instead of enabling the flow of interoperable data.
A value-driven DPP: A community-driven discussion is needed to design a new approach for global collaboration where DPP interoperability can be piloted at a global scale, across borders, across standards stacks, across platforms and across use cases. This will ensure that maximum value can be extracted from DPP data, wherever in the world a DPP is created, for whatever product, and for whatever reason.
