The Council of the European Union has adopted the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESR), establishing with the same act the mandatory use of a Digital Product Passport for all products on the European market! 🇪🇺
This landmark regulation paves the path for dpp to become the transformative tool for collecting and sharing product data throughout its lifecycle, illustrating its sustainability, environmental impact, and circularity.
Besides including Digital Product Passport, this legislative act also introduces environmental sustainability requirements for nearly all types of goods available in the EU market, as well as direct-ban on the destruction of unsold textiles and footwear.
