Scaling Circular Systems with Digital Product Passports

EON is leading the “Scaling Circular Systems with Digital Product Passports” pilot in collaboration with a Top 20 global apparel brand. The pilot’s objective is to demonstrate the role of DPPs in enabling interoperable, at-scale circular systems and help codify this intelligence into the EU Commission’s DPP legislation for the entire industry. Required data will be collected and shared in a standardised and interoperable manner at item level within the EON Product Cloud software platform.

Additionally, the pilot aims to demonstrate commercial opportunities created by the DPP and will focus on R use cases. A downstream service provider will connect to DPPs via the EON Product Cloud to access product and material data critical to driving circular business processes. This partner will also share back events data into the item’s DPP – for example, when and where a resale and recycling event took place.
