Target Circular Strategy
Tyre Production, Reatread Reclycle, Recycle, Recover Material.
Pilot Description
Within CIRPASS-2, Michelin leads a team of 7 stakeholders in 3 different countries to experience the Tyre Digital Product Passport (RFID – ISO Standard for electronic tyre ID and GDSO: tyre industry dataspace). Michelin and its partners are convinced that the digitisation of tyres is a key lever to improve the circular economy. We believe that the Tyre DPP is an opportunity to:
- design and promote more sustainable tyres;
- give easy access to tyre information to better retread and recycle them;
- find new valorization channels to recover material from end-of-life tyres.
